Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+: The new model for the Pi Day

Each year, on March 14th, the Pi Day is celebrated (a celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi, π = 3.14) and Raspberry Pi wanted to celebrate this day with a new model of their tiny computer with improved technical features.

This particular model is a small and low-cost computer that succeeds the previous model Raspberry Pi Model B that was released two years ago and is the right solution for those who want to make their own computer, especially for those who want something small and economical, after being priced at $35.

As far as its technical features are concerned, it has a faster processor than the previous model, the quad core Cortex-A53 64-bit Broadcom BCM2873B0 clocked at 1.4GHz with better heat management when the processor "runs" at high speeds. In addition, upgrades to the networking piece of the PC are also important since it has dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi to take advantage of the newer 5GHz and Bluetooth 4.2 networks.

In addition, there is support for USB 2.0 connection and despite the fact that we will not see 1Gbps speed due to the limitation of the USB 2.0 connection, the speed are three times higher than the previous model. Finally, the motherboard used is similar to the previous models and will be compatible with the current cases available for the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+.

Its price is at $35 and is available on the Raspberry Pi website where you can also find the previous Raspberry Pi models.
